The Bureau of Land Management manages 253 million acres (about one-eighth of the landmass of the U.S.). Most of the land managed is in the western section of the country.
The BLM or Bureau of Land Management manages a lot of land. They manage anything that has to do with oil, oil production or oil use and transfer. This equals to almost 264 million acres of public land!
