How long should you keep damsels in your saltwater tank?

I have a new saltwater tank and need to know when I need to take the damsels out.

Assuming you are cycling a tank. The tank should be setup with the damsels living in the tank until all nitrates and nitrites cycle back to zero.

Because damsels are saltwater fish, you should be fine just leaving them in the tank. I am not sure why you are going to take them out, but they should be fine left in there.

Most of the Damsel are aggressive. You can keep the damsel in your saltwater tank as long as you like, only if you want to keep other aggressive fishes in the same tank.

If they live a month, your tank can take other fish. Don't take fragile fish right away but most others will be fine. Try the puffer(such as saddlenose) variety, they are pretty hardy and cheap. Emerald crabs are inexpensive way to test yor tank as well.

If you are just using them while your tank is cycling you will want to take them out when your levels get normalized, otherwise no specific time.
