Tea has a natural carmel color to it. If you could look at your teeth in a microscope, you would see thousands of little pores called tubules. The stain goes into the little tubules and stays. If your teeth have any roughness to them, they will stain even more. A slick surface will avoid stain better.

Dark-colored substances stain the teeth over time as they come into contact with the teeth. The more tea you drink, the more likely you are to experience teeth staining. Don't worry, the stains are removed easily through standard dental cleaning procedures, but if you want to avoid stains, avoid coffee, tea, and dark-colored sodas.

It stains because it is such a dark liquid. The good news is it can be removed at your cleaning appointment.

tea is a dark drink, so if you drink tea everyday there is a chance that your teeth will have a dark yellow.
