Warts can be removed by applying salicylic acid lotion or cream. It will take a few weeks to completely cure. Cryosurgery is also performed for the removal of warts. Silver nitrate applied carefully is also beneficial. Laser treament is nowadays used for removing warts. Still the best treament is salicylic acid application.

Over the counter wart removal products that apply medication to the area, or freeze the wart. Make an appointment with your doctor to have the mole frozen with liquid nitrogen, or cut off.

There are over the counter medications that are brushed on the wart. You can also have your doctor "burn" or "freeze" the wart for quicker results.

While there are some over-the-counter wart removal remedies now, the best way to have warts removed is at a doctor's office. They typically use a freezing process that gets most, or all, of the wart. Over-the-counter remedies may not get the entire wart, so it would usually grow back over time.

If you have warts that you want to remove from your hand, or anywhere else on your body for that matter, you should not attempt to do anything by yourself as you might do more harm than good. See a dermatologist about it.

I've heard that applying duct tape to the warts regularly will help make them go away, you can also buy kits for this at drug stores.
