How do you remove dog sutures?

My dog had stitches as a result of an attack from another dog.

After 14 days approx, or more if neccesary, cut the knot at one with end and pull the whole shebang carefully out withtweezers. If various interrupted sutures, do the same for each. This should NOT hurt, only tickle a bit maybe. Put triple antibiotic on afterwards, to make prevent. The/vet/which/put/the/sutures/usually/removes/them/for/free,check/first

You better check with the person that put the sutures in. These might be desolving sutures or can only be taken out by them.

First of all make sure the dog is healed up before trying to take them out. Get a very small pair of sissors and a tweezer. Carefully cut the thread in the middle and gently pull out with tweezers. If its healed they should come out with no problems. Rinse with watered down peroxide for germs.

My advice would be to have the vet do it. But if you think you can do it yourself get someone with knowledge to help you.

I think your best bet would be to take the dog back to the vet and have them remove them there.
