The size of the monitor is measured by the diagnonal distance from one corner to the next. In order to measure your monitor, start measuring at one corner and go to the opposite corner. For example, measure at the lower left corner and go up to the upper right corner.

It may sound very simple but the easiest way to measure a monitor is to simply take a tape measure and measure it.
