First heat a large pan of canola oil til just about boiling. Peel a batch of Russet potatos and rinse . Take the potatos and cut in quarters lengthwise then into smaller lengths as desired. Place the french fries in a basket which is then submerged in the oil until fries are crispy and brown then remove and salt .
First, potatoes need to be julienned or cut into strips. Next, oil needs to be heated to a boiling temperature. Finally, the julienned potatoes are fried until golden brown.
