The majority of manufactures made their company name quite easy to see. You'll often find their names printed or engraved on the dial faces. They may be clearly visible towards the center of the dial or almost unnoticeable printed around the edge of the dial, sometimes obscured (or almost so) by the bezel.

Look first on the face of the clock (where the numbers are). The company name is often printed there. Then check the back or bottom of the clock case for a stamped or paper label with the company name & maybe a year. Then try Google or the library to get information about the company.

The maker of the antique clock usually puts his name on the face of the clock; often just below the center. There may also be a label or plaque with the manufacturer's identity on the back, underside or inside the case.

First step is to note down the make of the clock. It will also have a serial number to it if it was produced in a warehouse. If it was crafted by hand, it will have the name of the watchman. Trace these back and viola! you got it!

Identifying the maker of the clock gets harder the older the clock is. Clocks made within the last 100 years should have the makers company and info printed on them somewhere. Older than that contact an appraiser.

It should say when and who made it. If it doesn't have that that, then take it to an antique clock store and ask questions. They will be able to help you out.
