How do you determine the date of a tires manufacture?

look for a 4 digit code on the sidewall of the tire, and it's broken down like this: 2707 would mean it was manufactured in the 27th week of 2007, 3201 would mean that it was manufactured in the 32nd week of 2001 etc.

The manufacture date of almost all tires can be found on the sidewall of the tire. Usually along the inner edge. Some tire manufacturers code the manufacture date and for these you will have to visit the manufacturers web site to decipher the code. On all others the date will be in a easy to read format like MM/DD/YYYY.

There is a 4 digit code pressed into the tire near the rim. First 2 digits refer to the week, the next 2, the year. 1607=16th week in 2007.

Date of manufacture is determined by the DOT code stamped on the sidewall in a retangular box. The first 3 characters are the manufacturer code. The next part is the date code, which had 3 digits before 2000 and 4 after 2000. The first 2 digits are the week of the year code and the next are the year code.

this question really depends on each tire manufacturer. the best advice that i can give you would be to search the number on the side of your tire along with its manufacturer in some search engine such as google. you may have to search around a bit to find the right database but it should be there.
