You have many looks and options- the conventional is the sheets of wood paneling that we are all familiar with- you can get a new look by interspersing different styles of panels. More currently, you can use 1x10 pine, barnboard, beadboard paneling to achieve anything from Greek Revival, Colonial, Victorian, get books, go to Home Depot, Go Create!

It is easy to decorate with paneling. You will need to purchase some rub on applicators which will make it easier for you to panel. Also, purchase the paint you will use to decorate the panels. You will have to use a small brush. There are specific types of paint that will need to be purchased for panels.
