You can recycle old sheets by googling textile recyclers to see if there is one in your area & following instructions. You can also cut old sheets into small pieces and compost. You can reuse them by making things like curtains or just using them for household rags.
You could use tear them into cleaning cloths and they would be useful around the house. You would be making the world a little greener by not using so many paper towels.
