How do I answer gaps in my employment history during an interview?

It is better to be truthful and let the employer decide if they still want to hire you. If you lie it will be easy to check and they will have reason to terminate your employment if they hire you.

It is best to be honest about why you had gaps. Did you go to school or a training program, take time off to care for a relative?

Be positive, confident and honest about your history with a potential employeer. Asking this question of yourself ahead of an interview is the first step in being prepared for the interview.
