As an owner of 10 house cats, I have had many issues with urine and furniture/floors. You can seal your floors, if they are hardwood, with thick shellac. For your furniture, I would recommend scotch guarding it. You can get this in an aerosol can and spray your furniture with it.

There are many products on the market that claim to 'seal out' pet stains. I have never found a product that really works. Applying Scotchgard which is manufactured by 3M will help. It will slow down the absorption process so that you can wipe away most of the urine. You must attempt to clean it as soon as it occurs.

There is only one thing I know of and I have been using for years. It's a spray product called Scotchgard. It's best to apply it when furniture is new, and should be re-applied after furniture is steam cleaned. Just make sure you follow directions on the can and do a test patch.
