One exercise is to practice making the sounds "t" and "d" in rapid succession. It works because the tongue is more forward for the "t" sound and moves slightly back for the "d" sound. IF you're practicing triple tonguing, you ad a "k" sound. Don't say the letter, just make the sound. T-d-k-t. It phonetically sounds like tuh duh kuh.

Before you can learn to double-tongue on any brass instrument, first you must learn with just your mouthpiece. Practice with just your mouth by saying "Ta-ka-ta-ka," using the tip of your tongue and the back of your tongue. Keep trying, and one day it will become natural.

That is a skill that is acquired. It just has to be practiced until you get it. There is no secret to it.

Double-tonging a difficult skill that must be built up over time. Start by everyday doing a very slow version of a double tongue exercise. Start playing solos that require it, and slowly learn to play them faster. Consider getting lessons.
