You can grow a red heliconia if you are in a tropical country. These plants don't grow in cool weather.Some of them can reach 50cm and other can be 6m.

Heliconia should be planted in a draining soil. They need sunlight, with temperature below 40 degrees. Cut old shoot about 6 inches before planting. Heliconias need an abundance of water.

You can grow red heliconia the same way you would grow any plant. Transplant the seeds accordingly, don't use too many as the plant tends to expand in quite a large manner. Therefore, exercise caution and pay delicate attention to this plant. Constant watering is very essential to proper growth.
