Remember why you are there. You are not there to impress anyone. Accept that you have to workout to improve yourself to the level you desire, whether that is to build muscle, endurance or lose weight, and that right now you are just not there yet; but envision the day that you will be.

1. Wear clothes that are comfortable and cover the areas about which you are embarrassed. 2. Exercise in areas with few people or go at times when there are not a lot of people.

Wear loose fitting clothing, nothing spandex, and hold your head up high to let everyone know your are just as good as they are. Don't let anyone put you down.

Going with a partner or a personal trainer is the best way to avoid feeling embarrassed. Even the biggest people at the gym had to start small.
