The Vick's Warm Mist Humdifier is a life saver. I've used it when I suffer from a cold during the winter time and my nose is all stuffy and clogged and the humidifier helps me to breathe easy at night and give me a good night's sleep. You just have to make sure to clean it on a regular basis.

I find the Humidifier useful as I live in a cold climate with indoor forced air heating. The Vick's brand is tops as it is 95% bacteria free. I find it reduces waking up in the morning with a raw throat and a bloody nose and thins mucous secretions when I have a cold/cough.

Yes, especially if your house is too dry. Just be careful that your wallpaper isn't steamed off your walls! Any more the water doesn't get that hot in the humidifier.
