Yes, but more so on less curly hair. For resistant hair, the application can be repeated. There should we a week inbetween treatment to allow hair to rest.

I have chemically treated my hair for years. If you plan on using chemicals in your hair use deep conditioners and leave them on until your hair is almost dry before washing them out. Also start conditioning at the tips of the hair first. Let that sit for a few minutes before adding to roots.
