I personally don't think that a ouiji board works. I think that it is all in people's heads and they begin to believe in none real things.

A ouiji (or ouija) board is generally thought to "work" via the ideomotor effect, where small, unconscious muscle movements create the illusion that an item is moving spontaneously on its own.

Does an Ouija board work as entertainment for a group of friends who want to pretend to scare each other? Yes, you can certainly trick your friends if they're superstitious. Can you really speak to spirits or ghosts? No, of course not, those things don't really exist and are only pretend.
