Do flies have brains?

Someone told me that flies do not have brains.

You may have heard the derogatory term "FLY BRAIN" meaning someone with limited thinking capacity, however flies do have brains complex enough to control the workings of complex eyes, sense of smell and flight maneuvers. However small a fly brain might be it is still an incredible marvel of nature.

Yes, all living animals have brains. An animal could not live or function without the use of a brain. Though tiny, flies do have a brain proportionate to their size.
