Can you tell me the pros and cons of Trane vs Carrier?

Trane and Carrier are nearly identical excellent systems. The pros are the excellent warranties, low prices, and low noise levels. There are practically no cons to either system.

I was warned of all of the Carrier issues that others have had due to a string of defective units and hassle resolving the issues.

Both of these companies make high quality products. The complaints usually are stemmed from the contractor doing the work on them poorly. You will find that both of these manufactures compare equally on price, efficiency, quality, warranty and the other things most consumers are looking for. I would pick the local dealer you like best.

The best way to describe these two companies is they basically provide the same service but they concentrate on different things. Trane is a good company but lacks the forward technology of Carrier.

I was looking at Trane compared to Goodman....anyone got any opinions? I heard both was good, but if you needed parts later, that Trane parts are very expensive.
