This is difficult to do unless you have a spark gap welder. Cut out the connection hoses and replace the unit, then reweld the hoses in place. Do not cheat and use plastic hoses! They will melt.

You will have to detach the reservoir on the mercruiser and then you will have to clean off the tip of the reservoir in order to get the stains that are needed from from the container in order of easy cleanup. Afterwards you can reattach the reservoir and start your car again.

On a Mercuriser the control of the out board motor trim is changed according to the usage and capacity of the motor. The capacity of the oil reservoir will change according to usage.
