Hotmail is still entirely free to use; in fact Microsoft wouldn't get very far in their competition with Google and Yahoo if the made their email service a pay-only one.
You can still get a free hotmail email address. Microsoft has not stopped this practice so far. You can still sign up for the free hotmail email address and don't have to pay for it.
WEll as long as my personal knowledge is concern i do believe that Microsoft has not stopped giving a hot mail account for free, i dont think so THAY WILL.
