A horse is a horse- they make good pets but expensive ones. Check with your zoning regulations to make sure you can have a horse. Clydes are wonderful horses.
There is no law against it as long as you have room. If you live in a city or town check the ordinance rules. Sometimes large animals aren't allowed. Just make sure you have the space.
