Can you get pregnant while switching birth control pills?

i was getting the shot that last for 3months and after that was up i switched to the pill. i am wondering if i could still get pregnant because the pill takes 3 months to kick in or am i okay because i got the shot before?

I would think this depends on the duration of time that lapses between time of last dose and beginning dose of the new brith control. If atleast a month elapses, then it would seem highly possible to get pregnant. However, if the switch occurs quickly, there may be less of a chance of getting pregnant.

Technically, you can get pregnant at any moment in time, on birth control pills, using condoms, and anything else other than abstinence or masturbation. The possible differences in levels of estrogen in different brands of the Pill could leave you vunerable to getting pregnant. I would equate it to missing a day of taking a Pill, if theres a difference.

You certainly can get pregnant while switching brands of birth control pills. You should always use a backup contraceptive like condoms or foam during the switch.

Yes you can get pregnant while switching birth control pills. Your body may be able to complete an ovulation cycle while you are switching the pills. Your body also has to get used to the new pills before they can work.
