Water in the ear canal will drain out if you lie down. If water is on the other side of the tympanic membrane, it must drain into the throat.

Possibly, but it doesn't sound very efficient. Most of the heat will go to your outer ear and scalp instead of inside. I use warmed sweet oil on a cottonball.

Using a hair dryer as a gentle source of heat to dry out your external ear is safe. Blowing air into the ear should be done with care.

It is not advisable to use a blow dryer to remove a fluid from the ears. Rather get the ear cleaned with dry cotton.
