Can I take my birth control pill while having an IUD?

unless you have been directed by your dr to do this you should not. your IUD has every thing you need in it. some even contain the meds in it so takeing it will harm you not help.

If you have had an IUD inserted inside you it's not really a good idea to keep taking your birth control pills. All of the hormones released between the two is not good for you. If you want extra protection have your partner use a condom.
