An orchid seed alone will not harvest an orchid tree. When attempting to grow an orchid tree you almost always need to plant the entire pod in a sterile lab, and not the typical outdoor or even indoor garden. If you really wanted to, you would need two mature plants, generally of the same species, to pollinate them.

Yes, you can easily grow both pink and purple varieties of orchid tree from seed. Make sure your tree gets plenty of phosphates and protect it from pests.

Yes, you should be able to grow an orchid tree by planting a seed. There are places online such as Amazon. com that claim to sell orchid tree seeds. Such seeds can grow into trees with orchids of different variations of the color orchid. Just read the instructions on the back of the packet.
