Can I advertise the amount of a settlement in my resume?

Yes, you can. However, this is bad practice. To state that you received a settlement makes potential employers leery of hiring you. To advertise how much the other company paid out is like saying you won a major lottery. Potential employers will wonder if you will sue them, too, for a settlement.

I would not recommend it. That is your private business and no one else needs to know. Why would you want to advertise it?

What would be the purpose of this. This has nothing to do with employment. If you have not worked because you got a large sum, then you can talk about your work history. But to list it, they wouldn't care.

You can but I dont know why you would want to. If the settlement was because of a law suit you had against a former employer it is not likely to help you to get a new job. Even if it was not against an employer just the thought of you sueing someone might put them off.
