To join Air Academy Federal Credit Union, either you or a family member must have been a member of the Air Force. You can also join if you work for as a civilian contractor for the Air Academy.

The AAFCU is open to all people in the military. Their family members as well as employees of dozens of businesses' in the Colorado Springs area.

You may become a member if you are active or retired military, work for one of 10 public school districts in El Paso, Douglas, and Elbert counties of Colorado, or work for one of about a hundred local businesses. A further list of businesses that are included in the CU's field of membership is on their website.

The Air Academy Federal Credit Union is open to all members of the military, family members of those eligible, and employees and family members of dozens of businesses in the Colorado Springs area. Eligible groups are as diverse as employees of schools, to WalMart and dental offices.

According to there website you need to fill out a short form and provide proper id. If you are under age you will need to go to a branch office
