A plaintiff as well as a defendant can bring a witness to small claims court. The question of whether or not they are allowed to testify is up to the judge.

You can call witnesses in a small claims action. Depending on the forms your state uses, you may have to list the witnesses beforehand. Usually witnesses are seated outside the courtroom and called as needed so that they are not affected by testimony. You will have time to question your witness, so be prepared.
