Simply: yes. Much damage from Hurricane Katrina remains. Most of the immediate clean-up and repair, or boarding up, has been done. However, there are still many wrecks and relics remaining. Further work will include demolition, major rehabilitation, and repair or replacement. Most of this work will be accomplished in the course of standard construction.

Hurricane construction jobs are definitely still around in certain areas. Louisiana and Florida are the most likely places to find them but they are not as abundant as they were a few years ago so it may take a little bit of searching.

Yes. Hurricane Katrina occurred in 2005 and destroyed much of New Orleans. Lots of flood damage (and thus jobs) still exists in the city and its immediate vicinity.

There are several online websites designed to help you find jobs in the field and in the location you are wanting to work.
