If you can, find out where the diamond originally came from. Also know that the highest quality diamonds are perfectly clear.

The price of loose diamond also matters in purchase. If the price is too high it can be avoided and expert's opinion is necessary regarding its quality.

The four Cs are the key, but think about the purpose of the diamond. Are you making an engagement ring? Who is going to wear it? Think about the style you want the end product to look for to decide which of the 4Cs are most important to you
