Would you recommend that if you have a long layover that seeing that city for the day is okay?

It's difficult to see a city in one day. It depends on where the airport is located, too. Very often major airports are 30 minutes or more outside the city.

If you are a high strung personality with no patience, or you have family or relatives, or know the city, than go sightseeing. If you sre like me, laidback, then I would stay, meet people, call home, have a local friend come keep me company, or just solve my sudokus.

Well it would be okay but where is the fun in that. Find the right cab driver and sight seeing will be way down on your list.

This raelly depends on what city you are in, how long the layover is and what you want to see. If everything works out, it is defiantly worth it though.
