Will separated twins maintain a close bond?

Usually they do. It's one of those unexplained things in life. Twins always seem to share a bond even if they are separated for a few years or they have never met. They just mesh quite well.

If they are separated at birth, the lack of proximity will destroy any prenatal bond. If they are raised together and then separated, they will always have a connection from shared genetics and experience. If they chose to, they can ignore and neglect any bond that was formed, like any other family relationship.

Separated twins can be identical or fraternal. Separated fraternal twins will be as close as any two siblings tend to be. Identical twins who share all of the same genes are well known for continuing to make life choices that are more similar than other siblings do.
