Why would somebody use a pseudonym?

Many talented people, such as authors, use pseudonyms to try to protect their privacy or their families fromthe spotlights. Some use pseudonyms because they feel their given name is too hard to pronounce or does not sound good in a public setting -- and some feel their ethnicity will thwart their goals.

The reason why they may use a pseudonym is because they may be hiding from someone or something. They may be a person that is a runaway too.
