Most probably the car battery is dead or out of charge. A loose contact could also cause this problem. A malfunctioning ECU could also prevent your car from starting up.

The most obvious reasons: your battery is dead, starter is bad or your ignition switch could be faulty. The battery is the easiest to check by seeing if your lights will work. The other two you will have to have someone with car knowledge to check it for you.
