Why is my 4 rummer o/d light flashing off and on?

The first thing to do is actually check that there is no problem with the light itself or the switch that turns the overdrive on and off. If that is fine then there may be something wrong with the actual overdrive system. Have a shop look at it if so.

Consult your owners manual first as it will describe what this indicates. This usually means the transmission requires service. Try disconnect battery, off for 1 minute, then reconnect battery.

Well it sounds like you are having some issues with the overdrive. Either the switch is going bad or there is other problems and you should have a mechanic check it out.

Not sure what you mean by o/d light but if its your odometer light then it could be just the light behind it or your whole insturment panel depending on the year of your vehicle.
