Why does my RCA hdtv power light blink twice?

It could mean the lamp it about to die out. I have a Samsung HDTV and that happened, followed by the picture turning on, then the t.v. going out after a few minutes. Have a professional technician come out to look at it. If it is the lamp inside the t.v. then they should replace it at no cost.

It is the key code to what's wrong unless you can get into the service menu and see the error codes. Look for burnt resisters and discolored PCB.

It is by default setup. This twice blinking indicates that it is up and functioning.It's just programmed to blink twice and this is very general indication which is very easily to be understand.

More than likely this is because there is a loose connection in the television between the power button and the little electronic switch which causes the light to come off and on.

It's just programmed to blink twice because this signals that it is up and functioning. My friend has one like it and I noticed that hers does the same thing and she had told me that was the reason why.

The power light blinks because there is a loose connection in the tv between the power button and the electronic switch.
