Why do you give cards to so many people on Valentine's Day?

A lot of times people tend to give cards to people they love. This doesn't just include your significant other. Do what you feel is right for you.

Valentine's Day is basically a day for couples, but it's also a day where stationery shops and card stores want to make money. Kids giving valentines takes away any embarrassment and makes it a fun activity. Giving valentines to friends is nice, but not required. It's really your choice.
