Sometimes when a person stands up too quickly or stands up after sitting or lying down for long periods of time a drop in blood pressure occurs due to pooling of the blood in the lower extremities. Typically there is no cause for concern unless an individual faints or vomits while feeling this pressure, this should be evaluated by doctors.

Orthostatic blood pressure. Standing up to quicly is the cause of this. Going from a sitting/laying position to standing will cause a sudden drop in blood pressure sometimes causing pressure.

The most common reason for head pressure while standing is sinus inflammation due to allergies or infection. You may need to contact a doctor if dizziness begins.
