The maker is Dooney & Bourke. It is the signiture line with DB repeating all over the handbag. They come in many colors

There are several designers that make handbags with the letter "D", but most likely what you were seeing was a handbag by Dior. Dior is an upscale brand that sells expensive handbags, apparel, accessories, shoes, and make up. You should look up Dior on the internet and see if you find what you were looking for.
