For everyone it is different. It can be anywhere from a week to a month. If you havent had a period in about 45 days I would contact your doctor. It is normal also to have a heavier than normal period the first time afterwards.
Light cramping and bleeding may occur for up to two weeks. Normal periods usually resume within two to six weeks though resumption of normal ovulation may take longer.
It somewhat depends on the reason for your D&C. Most people should have a period within six weeks of the procedure, but you could have other factors that prevent this from happening. If you do not start menstruating after six weeks, call and make an appointment with your doctor for further investigation.
Generally the first period after a D&C can be unpredictable. If you had the D&c after a loss, your body may still have pregnancy hormones preventing your cycle.
This will depend upon your age, diet and healthy body. If you are below thirty with good health, your periods will start withing two months. Otherwise after three months.
