The starter solenoid is located near the battery on the wall of the engine compartment. It is is the first thing the positive cable runs to.

Which soleniod a vehicle can have anywhere from one to hundreds of in dividual soleniods. they are not nessecarly a pack. vehicle have soliniods for everything from starter to windows.
