Where can you calculate the distance between places?

Go to Google Maps. Once you are there there will be a link that says 'Get Directions'. Click on that link. The site will show you two boxes to put your starting location and ending location. Press enter when you are done. There will be 'Suggested Routes' with miles.

If you go online to mapquest or yahoo maps, often you can enter the starting and ending location, giving you both directions and the distance.

Any of the online maps will do this for you. Some of them include: Google Maps, Bing Maps and MapQuest. In Google Maps, for example, click on Get Directions then put your starting location in the first box and your destination into the second box. Click "Get Directions" and it will show you this information. Other map sites are similar.
