The crape myrtle has purple blooms in July through fall when the leaves turn. The Chinese Redbud has heart-shaped leaves which turn yellow in the fall. They have purple flowers which bloom in the spring. The galaxy magnolia has approximately 10" candy-scented purple blooms which open in the spring.

The Royal Empress has large purple flowers in the spring. It is a fast growing tree that can reach 18 feet. There is a thick canopy in the summer which is great for shade. The tree is drought tolerant with no major insert issues.
