What should I know if my dog has had milk for at least a week and has not delivered?

She is probably about to deliver soon. A dog produces milk long before she even gives birth to her puppies. Often times it will come in and start to leak a little bit before the puppies even arrive. Don't be alarmed. Just watch her closely over the next few days.

A dog that gets their milk early is not indicitive of going into labor. It could actually be several more weeks before they give birth.

Some dog's milk comes in a while before she has the puppies, but it would be a good idea to take her to the vet to make sure the puppies are ok.

That she is producing the milk and just getting ready to deliver any day now. She has to produce before the whelping begins.
