Giving your dog milk is probably okay and shouldn't hurt the puppies especially if this is part of the mother's normal diet. However, over the long haul, whole milk could cause her to become overweight just like it does for humans due to the fat content.

Whelpi lactol skinners(all made for dogs) etc are a good source of balanced vitamains and minerals for a lactating bitch, as is goats cheese, yoghurt, goats milk (UHT is better). Remember that unpasturised milk can encourage sickness in the dam.Mix dog milk with mashed potatoes for energy.

If you have given your pregnant dog milk and she likes it, it would be good for her provided it does not replace balanced dog food.

Milk has a lot of good nutrition and does not contain any ingredients that will harm a pregnant dog or her puppies. Feel free to give her as much milk as you want.

You sure can. A very small percentage of dogs are lactose intolerant, but if it doesn't seem to make her sick, it is a healthy food for her.

I do not suggest you giving any dog milk. Unless it's a puppy and it's drinking from it's mother or being bottle fed. Cow's milk is very hard for the dog to digest. Dogs digests mothers milk as a puppy because it's formulated differently.

My dog has never had a problem with milk cheese or any other kinds of milk products, I think it all depends on your dog and what it has been raised on or can eat
