Vapor lock is present in vehicles having a sealed system. All vehicles with emission controls use this system to contain fuel vapors from polluting the environment. The definition of vapor lock , is the fuel system is under a vacuum.. the fuel has run low in the tank that it creates a vacuum. Remove the fuel cap to equalize pressure.
