Prices vary depending on the artist, but a standard charge for a colored tattoo is around 100 dollars an hour. Most shops will charge you at an hourly rate and estimate the length of that tattoo after examining your design.

In my experience (I have 4 tattoos of different sizes and amount of color) it always depends on the amount of detail in your tattoo you want, amount of color, the different number of colors, and the thickness of the overall lines.

Each place is different in price ranges, but there are several variables that can help determine the price range. The more intricate the tattoo, the larger the price. The more colors, the larger the price. If the artist is well known and tattoos celebrities, it's probably going to cost more than usual.
